Our “rest day” in Nürnberg involved a lot of walking…well strolling really, but we were nevertheless on our feet a lot.
On our stroll we met Mark from California who was touring Europe and remarkably a lady from Charlotte NC who grew up in Winston Salem.

We visited a few cathedrals the bizarre Ehekarussell fountain and some shops.

Then we had a large lunch of brats and then took a trolley to the Nazi era Zeppelin field where all the mass Nazi rallies took place. The information center was decent but hot. Not much remains of the megalomaniac- inspired construction project but it was still interesting to see.

Tomorrow we return to pilgrim life.

A very interesting time today going through Nuremberg.

I love the recorded stories of those who lived during the Holocaust.
