About our morning updates. I know these are boring for many (but I hope you will view the first bit of today’s). I post these specifically for those that know us well and want to see how we are each day.
I keep hoping to have WiFi sufficient to produce and send you guys some cool compilations but so far that’s been tough.
Just for reference, here is yesterday’s morning update that I couldn’t post due to WiFi issues.
Also here’s a funny shot of Nadine flashing her underwear yesterday (just kidding). It’s actually just her socks and shorts drying in the window.

Fast forward to today….As we left the farm, Nadine started flirting with a bearded male.
Seriously we had a really short day that Nadine describes well below. One of the high points for me though, was crossing the Berounka River. What my map indicated as a normal bridge was actually a one-man operated ferry. It was just fun to arrive on foot and pay the equivalent of $0.50 each to cross the river.
Here are some images from my camera.

Short and Sweet from Nadine
Today has been a very short day. We finished hiking by 12:30 p.m. but it’s been fun talking about some scripture that we’ve read and learned from, crossing over the River Berounka by ferry, picking many cherries, blackberries and raspberries along the way, walking along a path through the corn field…. Who would have known? This is what a pilgrimage looks like! And we’ve ended up at a pension next to a bowling alley!

Praying for Katie and family, Kim, Pat and Bob, David and Karen today!

It was so nice to be indoors.

A soft bed, pizza, entertainment (bowling), wide pathways – softies. Back in the day when I did a Camino, we had to dodge flying monkeys, nearly vertical climbs (ok, it only felt like vertical climbs), and complaining fellow pilgrims ( the last may have been me). Pathetic!!! (obviously in jest). Bon Camino

The climbs are easier in this part of CZ but they’re coming!

Haha. Just noted to Nadine how kind she is when she wakes at 4am. We never hear her get ready. Quiet as a mouse. I said “You’re too nice…we never let Rodney sleep in EVER!!” Haha
We did do three consecutive nights in a tent though, so that wasn’t the most luxurious thing ever!
Love you Brother

praying the weather is cooler there than here. 95 with heat index closer to 105-110. Brutal.

In the mid 60’s in the a.m. and low 70’s during the day. Humidity is lower as well. I think tomorrow is high in the 60s… Some rain

We are currently in long sleeves with zipped collars. It’s heavenly here at the moment. The high in a few days in 60F. I’m sure we will hit the heat at some point and of course climbing hills at midday is hot, but overall I’d rather be here than there.

Never boring! Love the updates and great photos. That weather sounds idyllic. Glad you are inside and getting some extra rest today. That meal looks so much better than the catfood. We missed you at Revo. 🙏 for continued safe travels. Darlene & George
