Well, we all made it back to the USA, but not without adventure.
Allison and I had a relatively smooth ride to Charleston where we will sow d some time visiting my sister and brother-in-law and my mom. We’d planned to rent a car when we arrived and it wasn’t until literally 30 seconds until I approached the rental car desk when it hit me. Neither Allison nor I had our driver’s license with us. Not unsurprisingly, the rental car dealership refused to rent us a car without our licenses in hand.

My sister Judy came to the rescue and drove to the airport to pick us up and Ken, Nadine’s husband kindly will express mail my license down via next-day delivery.
Nadine’s trip (already complicated by multiple connections) got much worse where there was a technical problem with the plane in Copenhagen. This caused a missed connection in Iceland and an unplanned overnight stay in Boston. Poor Nadine didn’t make it home until mid morning Friday.

Anyway, we are back in the U.S.
I will make one final post soon and then wrap up the VLOG.
